The 28-year-old has previously his trade for Imphal rivals TRAU FC and NEROCA FC in the I-League.
Mizoram-based outfit Aizawl FC have completed the signing of former TRAU FC forward Princewill Emeka ahead of the upcoming season.
The Nigerian first came to India in 2016, having signed for NEROCA FC. He scored 10 goals in 24 games during his inaugural season, which helped the Manipuri side win the 2nd Division League and earn promotion. Emeka went on to join rivals TRAU FC in the next campaign, where he scored eight goals in 19 appearances.
He was then brought in by Mohammedan Sporting and played for the Kolkata-based side in the Calcutta Football League 2018-19. The forward found the back of the net four times for the Black Panthers during that campaign.
His return to TRAU FC for the 2018-19 2nd Division League was, however, a golden stint. He formed a fearsome partnership with compatriot Joseph Olaleye and helped his team win the league to qualify for the I-League. He was the top scorer that season with 10 goals. Moreover, he also donned the captain's armband during the 2019-20 term.
In all these years, Princewill Emeka has grown familiar with Indian football, especially with teams from the Northeast. Well known for his physicality and pace, it would be interesting to see what he brings to Stanley Rozario’s side.

Meanwhile, Aizawl FC have began their preparations for the next season having handed contract extensions to key duo Richard Kassaga and Alfred Jaryan. In addition, the club have also roped in David Laltlansanga and Vanlalnghenga from local outfit Chanmari FC. It will be interesting to watch how The People's Club performs next term after going through a more or less disappointing last campaign.
