Abdulaziz Al Maqbali then went on a dribble on the left flank before teeing up Ahmed Al Riyami for a left foot curler from the edge of the box that just missed the mark.

East Bengal grew into the match with David Lalhlansanga and Anwar Ali both having attempts from similar positions, the former drawing a save from Muatasim Al Wahaibi while the latter fired over under pressure from Al Riyami.
