Palestine U17

The Palestinians have never qualified for the AFC U17 Asian Cup, and they will be determined to script history this time. The Palestine U17 completed a nine-day camp in Maldives and played friendlies as well. The National Football Stadium in Male hosted two friendlies between Maldives and Palestine.

Palestine thrashed the hosts in both friendlies. The first ended with Palestine scoring three goals while the second saw the visitors cruising with a 6-0 score line. These comprehensive victories would have done wonders to Palestine’s confidence; however, the qualifiers will pose another set of challenges.

Rahan Ahmed emerged as one of the most promising players for India in the SAFF U17 Men’s Championship 2025. The young No. 9 produced some clutch performances for the Blue Colts in the group stage that helped India complete a glorious run.

Rahan showed up in critical moments against Bhutan and Pakistan in the group stage to score clutch goals for India. On both occasions, India were clueless and had no opening to break the deadlock, but Rahan did the rescue act as a ‘super sub’. But the youngster will be eager to start and not just contribute coming off the bench.
