On 15th August, FIFA imposed a ban on India due to third-party interference of the Committee of Administrators. The CoA was put on board by the Supreme Court of India after the AIFF Executive Committee was suspended by the apex court. However, on 25th August, the ban was revoked. As a result, the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup will be held in India starting from 11th October. Even ATK Mohun Bagan will be able to play in the AFC Cup Inter-Zonal semi-final. Gokulam Kerala were the only sufferers of the ban since they were disqualified from the AFC Women's Club Championship.
