AIFF issue statement on Anwar Ali case

Anwar Ali’s case will be heard on 10th August 2024
The All India Football Federation (AIFF) Players’ Status Committee, an independent body tasked with adjudicating player-related disputes, is currently overseeing the case of Anwar Ali.
Since its establishment in 2022, the Committee has handled over 90 cases, demonstrating its commitment to fair and impartial resolution of matters affecting players.
Crucially, the Committee operates independently of the AIFF administration. While the federation provides necessary administrative support, it does not interfere in the Committee’s proceedings or decision-making. This ensures an unbiased approach to all cases.
In the specific case of Mr. Anwar Ali, the Committee has already issued an interim order and subsequently clarified its instructions. The matter is scheduled for the next hearing on August 10, 2024.

Given that the case is still under adjudication, the AIFF is unable to provide further details at this time. Any updates or information regarding the case will be made available only upon the Committee’s final decision or as directed by the Committee itself.
The AIFF respects the Committee’s independence and will continue to support its work in maintaining a fair and transparent environment for all players in Indian football.
