Three Al-Zawraa players who can create impact against FC Goa in ACL 2 clash

The Gaurs will aim to get their first win against Al-Zawraa.

FC Goa are set to face a tough test against Iraqi heavyweights Al-Zawraa in their upcoming match in the AFC Champions League Two group stages. This will be the Gaurs’ final away match of the competition, and they’ll be determined to pull off an impressive performance that helps them get a positive result from the game.

With that being said, Al-Zawraa aren’t going to make it any easier for them at all. Even though progressing past the group stages looks like a lost cause for the Iraqi side because of Al-Nassr’s dominance, they will be determined to at least win their second game against FC Goa.

Al-Zawraa will aim to play some clinical attacking football and will rely on certain members of their promising attacking line to get a dominant result against the Gaurs. Now, we look at the three Al-Zawraa players who can make a major impact in the FC Goa clash.

3. Reziq Bani Hani

Reziq Bani Hani has proven to be a real difference maker for Al-Zawraa SC in the AFC Champions League Two campaign, even though he’s yet to score for them in the Iraq Stars League. The Jordan forward has two goal contributions in the three ACL Two matches, which include his impressive performance against FC in the previous fixture.

Bani Hani scored the opening goal for the Iraqi side at the Fatorda Stadium and proved himself to be a real thorn for the Gaurs. He can easily play anywhere in the front line, including in the wide areas, and his versatility can cause many problems for FC Goa.

The 22-year-old is blessed with impressive pace and the ability to move around comfortably with the ball, as well as being quite prolific with his decision-making. Bani Hani will look to be a thorn for the Gaurs’ defenders again in the upcoming clash.

He is smart enough with his movement to get into all the promising positions and deliver with his deft final touch to guide Al-Zawraa to completing their double over FC Goa.

2. Ibrahim Tomiwa

Ibrahim Tomiwa heads into this clash with some impressive form behind him in the AFC Champions League Two stages, having scored two goals in their last two matches in the competition.

The 27-year-old Nigerian forward has three goals across all competitions this season, but he seems to be particularly excelling at the continental level. Tomiwa will be looking to continue his impressive form against the Gaurs and disrupt their defensive shape with his intimidating presence.

He will look to confuse the defenders with his off-the-ball runs and also help with the link-up play to help his side build better attacking moves.

Tomiwa will be tasked with getting on the end of chances in the opposition box and finishing them off clinically. If the Nigerian forward can get into his groove, he can be a major problem for the Gaurs and make a significant impact in helping his side get a big win.

1. Hasan Abdulkareem

Hassan Abdulkareem has arguably been Al-Zawraa’s best performer in the 2025-26 season so far, with six goal contributions (four goals, two assists) in 10 appearances so far. The Iraqi winger has been extremely consistent on the right wing, fooling defenders with his pace and trickery.

He scored in Al-Zawraa’s recent win over Istiqlol at home and will aim to continue his good form against the Gaurs as well. Abdeulkareem will look to increase the unpredictability of his team’s attack by making smart forward runs, getting the ball into the danger area with his sharp runs through the right wing.

However, he will be relied upon to deliver the goods from the key areas inside the final third and be especially prolific in crossing the ball into the danger areas inside the box for his teammates.

Abdulkareeem will also be tasked to be more adventurous in trying to move into the final third and be prolific with his shooting to enhance his side’s goal-scoring capability and blow away the Gaurs.
