Calicut FC thrash Forca Kochi 6-2 in Super League Kerala

Ajsal scores the first hat-trick of Super League Kerala 2025

Calicut FC earned a dominating 6-2 victory over Forca Kochi FC on the first matchday of the Round 6 fixtures of the Super League Kerala 2025 on the 9th of November 2025 at the Maharajas College Ground.

In the first half, Calicut FC bagged four goals by exerting irresistible dominance over the Forca Kochi side. Ajsal found the opener in the 19th minute, followed by his second goal in the 33rd minute, by deceiving the entire Forca Kochi defensive unit. Prashant scored the third goal of the game off a powerful volley, and Ajsal completed his hat-trick just ahead of the break to make it 4-0 at halftime.

In the second half, Gino van Kessel scored the opener for Forca Kochi in the 70th minute, to which Calicut immediately responded by scoring two goals in quick succession off Prashant and Len Doungel. In the 93rd minute, Gino scored the second goal for Forca Kochi, putting the game to bed.

Forca Kochi stumble in the first half

Calicut FC started sharply, attacking from left, right and centre, which kept Forca Kochi under the pump right from the start. This gave instant results for the visiting side as they found the back of the net in the 19th minute, courtesy of Ajsal.

Roshal, in the absence of Arshaf, combined well with Prashant, who provided a teasing ball into the 6-yard box, which Ajsal skillfully tapped in to score the opener. Forca Kochi, as a response, attacked with Sajeesh leading the initiative, who provided a good cross to Gino van Kessel, who ultimately failed to connect.

Calicut FC doubled their advantage in the 33rd minute, with Ajsal on the scoresheet yet again, who deceived the keeper after winning an excellent through ball from Boasso to score in an open net. In the 39th minute, Riyas whipped in an excellent ball from the right flank to Prashant, who scored the third goal for Calicut off a powerful volley.

In the 44th minute, Asif provided a pass into the final third, which broke past the Kochi defence and reached Ajsal, who scored the first hat-trick of the Super League Kerala 2025.

Forca Kochi succumb to mighty Calicut

In the second half, Calicut FC were a yard better than Forca Kochi in every aspect of the match, but somewhere down the line, they lacked luck and were unable to find the back of the net as they missed their chances by inches. This paved the way for Kochi to score a compensatory goal as Amos set up a delicious ball for Gino, who nestled back a goal for the hosts.

In the 84th minute, Asif provided a carpet pass from the edge of the box to Len Doungel, who scored the fifth goal for Calicut in his Super League Kerala debut. Three minutes later, Prashant played the ball past the out-of-position Forca Kochi keeper, who stood as a spectator to watch the ball roll into the goal, marking the sixth goal for Calicut FC.

93rd minute saw Forca Kochi FC score yet again off the Amos-Gino combination, but two goals were too low for the hosts to overturn Calicut FC, and at full time, the match ended 6-2 in favour of Calicut FC, marking their biggest win in the Super League Kerala history.
