Durand Cup 2025: Full fixtures, teams, groups & telecast details

North East United FC are the reigning Durand Cup champions.

Asia’s oldest existing competition and the third oldest existing football tournament in the world, the Durand Cup, is set to host its 134th edition across five different cities. The Durand Cup serves as the curtain opener for the domestic football season in India.

The Durand Cup, organised by the Indian armed forces, is a tribute to the valour, courage, resilience and sacrifices of our defence forces. The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, unveiled and flagged off the Durand Cup trophies at Rashtrapati Bhavan earlier today.

Ahead of the 134th edition, the Durand Cup released its fixtures. A total of 36 group games will be played across five different cities – Jamshedpur, Kolkata, Shillong, Kokrajhar and Imphal.

The month-long tournament will feature 24 teams, which include teams from ISL, I-League, Indian defence forces, as well as foreign teams from neighbouring countries.

As reported by KhelNow, the Durand Cup matches shall go on as scheduled.

Durand Cup 2025 season opener and finals in Kolkata

Emami East Bengal will lock horns against South United FC in the season opener at Kolkata on July 23. All the Group A fixtures, which include other teams like the Indian Air Force and Namdhari FC, will be held in Kolkata.

Kolkata giants, Mohun Bagan Super Giant and Mohammedan SC are drawn against Diamond Harbour, and Border Security Force will also play their group league games in Kolkata.

Jamshedpur FC will kickstart their Durand Cup journey on July 24 at their home ground in the JRD Tata Sports Complex against a foreign team. Group C also includes Ladakh FC and the Indian Army and will play all the group games at the Furnace.

The rising ISL giants, Punjab FC, are drawn in Group D alongside local team, Bodoland FC and will play their group games at the SAI Stadium in Kokrajhar

Group E will host a derby game between North East United FC and Shillong Lajong at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong on August 8.

Group F has Real Kashmir, Trau FC, Indian Navy, and Neroca FC. They will play their group games at the Khuman Lampak Main Stadium in Imphal.

Kolkata will host one semi-final game and the grand finals, whereas Shillong will host one semi-final and a quarter-final match too.
