The Durand Cup is set for its glorious conclusion on August 23, with NorthEast United FC and Diamond Harbour FC contesting for the trophy. The final will kick off at 5:30 PM at the historic Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata.

The Prize money for this year’s winners has been announced. Not just the winners, but there are rewards for various achievers. Not just the unmatched glory, but the club winning the final will also receive a prize money of a whopping 1.21 crores. Just put this in the context of Diamond Harbour’s finances as an I League club. It will be a massive financial boost. Not just the newly promoted I League side, but the defending champions NorthEast United FC will also be eyeing the prize money.

The Durand Cup is a test of skill, character, and grit. It takes an exceptional effort to reach the final, and the runners-up equally deserve a remunerative reward. The runners-up of the tournament will be rewarded with 60 lakhs.

The losing semi-finalists will receive 25 lakhs each, whereas the losing quarter-finalists will have 15 lakhs each in their kitty.
