The Goa Pro League serves as a crucial platform for Goan footballers.
The Goa Pro League is a football competition organized by the Goa Football Association as a part of state leagues. It was formed in 1951 as Goa’s first division, around 24 teams participated in the second division, just one team made it to the first division, while the other 60 teams battled it out in the third division.
This is a historical competition, many prestigious players have played in this competition and have gone on to play for bigger teams.

Salgaocar have won the Goa Pro League 22 times and Dempo have won it 16 times. Both are well-known clubs in India and Goa emerged as the first state in the country to go fully professional with the game.
Dempo are the current champions of the Goa Pro League. As of now, a total of 13 teams are participating in this league. This has been a significant platform to showcase the talent in the state.
