IFL brings the newest version of the I-League

The Indian Football League kicked off on 27th February, marking the newest version of domestic football in India. The landscape of the Indian football league has entered a new chapter, as this is a rebranded version of the I-League known as the Indian Football League.

On the first day, Aizawl FC faced off against Namdhari, and in the second match, Chanmari locked horns against Gokulam Kerala FC.

From proven goal scorers to midfielders and also defensive beasts, signings reflect a clear intent to put in good effort in the league.

Here is a detailed look at the foreign players of each club in the Indian Football League 2025-26 season.

Aizawl FC

Higor Renato Lopes De Oliveira Gomes

Aizawl FC have once again turned to Brazil for reinforcements, securing the services of forward Higor Renato Gomes ahead of the new season. Known for his sharp movement inside the box and clinical finishing, Higor adds a strong attacking edge to the squad.

Gokulam has assembled a great foreign window with their signings. As they captured the signing of midfielder Kasimov, the former ISL player from Mohammedan SC. A technical player with excellent vision and passing range. Kasimov can dictate the game tempo.

With Kasimov, Gokulam also signed Francisco Borges, a creative winger with immense pace and dribbling. John Kennedy brings depth to the attack as he was very good in the Kerala Super League.

Rajasthan United FC have strengthened their squad with an impressive group of foreign signings, including Cedric Kouame Gogoua, Jordan Lamela Garrido, Amadou Soukouna, Gerard Artigas, and Pedro Astray Lopez.

With reinforcements across defense, midfield, and attack, the club now looks well-balanced and strong in all areas of the pitch, covering every key aspect needed to compete at a high level this season.

Real Kashmir FC

Sreenidi Deccan FC

Hadi Idrissou, Paulo Cezar, David Castaneda Munoz, Pape Gassama, Rolieny Luis Bonevacia, Fabrice Nkwoh

Namdhari SA

Namdhari have leaned on African players in the Indian Football League, as they signed Lamine Moro, a Centre back with aerial dominance and composure.

Also with him, they signed Addo, Najib Ibrahim and Abdoulaye Diallo, as this is the core foreign group of players Namdhari plays with in the IFL.

Dempo SC

Aubin Kouakou, Jose Luis Pena, Sebastian Gutierrez, Cristian Perez, Richmond Kwasi, Marcus Joseph

Dempo has a strong group of players as they sign Richmond Kwasi, the Bengal Super League-proven striker. With him, they have Sebastian Gutierrez, who is likely to add more attacking depth to the team.

A familiar name is Marcus Joseph, a former Mohammedan SC forward with a lot of experience, known for his goal-scoring ability and intelligent movement.

Also, they added Cristian Perez, Aubin Kouakou and Jose Luis Pena.

Chanmari FC

Shillong Lajong FC

Shillong Lajong FC are set to enter the new Indian Football League season with a bold approach, opting for a fully Indian squad. The club has decided not to sign any foreign players, placing complete faith in domestic talent.

With this all-Indian lineup, Shillong Lajong will look to prove that homegrown quality and unity can make a strong impact this season.
