IFL 2025-26: Updated points table, most goals after Chanmari FC vs Dempo SC

The first matchday of Matchweek 2 in IFL took us to North-Eastern India, where the home teams went on to play their second draw of the new season.
Aizawl-based Chanmari FC were heading for their second win of the campaign, but a red card changed the trajectory of the game, and Chanmari had to settle for a point against Dempo SC. The game began with Amuana scoring the opener in the 15th minute for Chanmari.
Two goals came in the 43rd minute as Sebastian and Sawmsanga went on to find their name in the scoresheet. It was 2-1 when Rentheli was given a red card and ten-man Chanmari tried their best to hold on to the lead, but Joseph had other plans as she netted the equaliser in the 81st minute.

A brief look at the IFL 2025-26 points table

As things stand, nothing much has changed in the upper echelon of the points table. Three teams from the Northeast occupy the top three spots, with Chanmari leading the table with 5 points.
Dempo find themselves at the bottom echelon after 2 draws and one defeat. They are winless so far and must get back to winning ways before it’s too late. It will be interesting to see how the northeast teams perform in their away games as they have been brilliant at home.

What to expect in matchday 8 of IFL 2025-26:
Matchday 8 will host two games tomorrow. Rajasthan and Namdhari will face each other in the first game. Both teams are winless and must not settle for anything less than all three points tomorrow. The final game tomorrow will feature Aizawl FC and Real Kashmir.
After Chanmari dropping points tonight, it is a golden opportunity for Aizawl to leapfrog their Mizoram opponents in the top of the table. For Real Kashmir, it is high time they clinch a win tomorrow. They are placed at the ninth spot with one draw and one defeat.
