IFL 2025-26: Updated points table, most goals after Diamond Harbour vs Chanmari

Kolkata outfit just a win away from becoming IFL 2026 Champions
The second matchday of Matchweek 8 of the Indian Football League saw two interesting games being played out in the penultimate matchweek, where every point counts and every goal matters.
Just a few weeks ago, it seemed like Dempo SC were getting relegated, but the Goan outfit is now in sublime form. Dempo scored three goals against Aizawl to clinch their second win of the season. Goals from Marcus Joseph, Moreno and Gutierrez were enough to propel Dempo to a 3-0 win over Aizawl.
In the second game, Chanmari FC broke the deadlock, and the drumbeats were heard in Hyderabad and Jaipur, but the happiness didn’t last long, and Diamond Harbour scripted a big comeback. A brace from Halicharan Narzary in the final quarter saw Diamond Harbour winning it 3-1.
Let’s take a closer look at how the IFL points table has changed after this game and find out how tonight’s results will impact the championship prospects of different teams.
A brief look at the IFL 2025-26 points table

As things stand, Diamond Harbour have their fate in their own hands. A win in the next game will be enough to propel them to the Indian Super League next season. When it comes to the title race, only Rajasthan United can make a difference, but they’ll need to win both their games and hope Diamond Harbour drops points in their final game.
After two wins, Dempo are out of the relegation zone. But Real Kashmir are in real trouble now. Four more matchdays are remaining, and we are yet to know who is winning the league and who will get relegated to the third division.
Players with the most goals after matchday 23 of IFL 2025-26
- Marcus Joseph jr (Dempo) – 5 goals
- Amadou Soukouna (Rajasthan FC) – 4 goals
- Phrangki Buam (Shillong Lajong) – 3 goals
- Antonio Moyano (Diamond Harbour) – 3 goals
- Fabrice Kah (Sreenidi) – 3 goals
What to expect in matchweek 24 of IFL 2025-26
The final matchday of Matchweek 8 is going to be interesting as Diamond Harbour will be keeping a close eye on the Rajasthan vs Sreenidhi game. Anything other a win for the Desert Vipers would see the Kolkata outfit winning the Indian Football League tomorrow itself.
Gokulam will face Real Kashmir in the second game and if it ends in anything other a win for Real Kashmir, it would be game over for the Snow Leopards, who must win both their games and hope Namdhari drops point in their final game to avoid relegation.
