IFL 2025-26: Updated points table, most goals after Gokulam Kerala vs Aizawl FC

Malabarians are back in title race with thrilling win over Aizawl in a six goal thriller

The first matchday of Matchweek 6 of the Indian Football League(IFL) couldn’t have begun in a better fashion as the game between Gokulam Kerala and Aizawl was a six-goal feast.

The game had everything from early goals, three goals in the dying minutes of the game, to a nail-biting finish. It was less than five minutes on the clock when Gokulam were leading 2-0 after goals from Trijoy Dias and Rahul Raju.

To deepen the woes for the Meghalaya outfit, Brown made it 3-0 in the 34th minute. Just when the game seemed over, Aizawl FC scored twice in the 88th and 89th minutes and almost gave a mini heart attack to the Malabarians, who sealed the victory 4-2 after Rahul Raju scored in the 97th minute.

Let’s take a closer look at how the IFL points table has changed after this game and find out how tonight’s results will impact the championship prospects of different teams.

A brief look at the IFL 2025-26 points table

With this defeat tonight, Aizawl lost the golden chance to top the table. Not only that, a win for the Malabarians saw them surprisingly making a comeback in the title race. They have leapfrogged Aizawl to jump to the fourth spot with eight points.

As things stand, just one win separates the table toppers from the sixth-placed team. With such fine margins, we are heading for a blockbuster end with every matchday. The title race is still very much alive for more than half of the teams in this competition.
