IFL 2025-26: Updated points table, most goals after Rajasthan United vs Dempo SC

Solitary goal from Len Doungel extinguishes Rajasthan’s title hopes

The first matchday of the second matchweek of the IFL Championship stage took us to Shri Bhaini Sahib, where Rajasthan United locked horns with Dempo SC.

The game had just a solitary goal from Len Doungel, who made it 1-0 in the 60th minute for Dempo SC. Rajasthan kept pushing for a late equaliser, but Dempo defenders kept their nerves and went on to clinch a crucial win for Dempo.

Despite the Desert Vipers dominating the possession and having three times more shots on target, it was the Goan outfit that had the last laugh after 90 minutes.

Let’s take a closer look at how the IFL points table has changed after this game and find out how tonight’s results will impact the championship prospects of different teams.

A brief look at the IFL 2025-26 points table

IFL points table

Rajasthan were one of the favourites after Diamond Harbour to win the Championship, but a defeat tonight has almost extinguished their title hopes. They now stand eight points behind the top spot, and mathematically, they have a chance, but in reality, it is almost over.

After this win, Dempo now move on to the fifth spot with 13 points. Though they are already out of contention for the title race, they can still spoil a lot of parties. In the first matchweek, they denied three points to Shillong, and with this win, they have destroyed Rajasthan’s hopes.

Players with the most goals after matchday 6 of IFL 2025-26

  • Marcus Joseph jr (Dempo) – 7 goals
  • Antonio Moyano (Diamond Harbour) – 5 goals
  • Amadou Soukouna (Rajasthan FC) – 4 goals
  • Phrangki Buam (Shillong Lajong) – 4 goals
  • Everbrightson Sana (Shillong Lajong) – 4 goals

What to expect from the next matches of IFL 2025-26

The focus will now shift towards the Championship stage as Rajasthan and Dempo are all set to lock horns with each other tomorrow.

Tomorrow, we have the North East derby awaiting our presence, where Chanmari will lock horns with Shillong Lajong. The Mizoram outfit’s title hopes are over, but Shillong are still alive, and after a frustrating draw against Dempo in the previous game, it is now or never for the Meghalaya outfit.

So, hold your breath and keep a calculator beside you as things are becoming pretty interesting with every matchday. Every goal, every save, every single point counts and with such fine margins, you blink, and you are out of the title race.
