Three teams from NorthEast remain top of IFL table
The final matchday of Matchweek 2 in IFL took us to Eastern India, where the home teams went on to secure their first win of the new season.
After back-to-back stalemates, the Indian Football League is back in style, and two wins tonight have massively shaken the equations, and there have been changes in the standings.
The first game of Matchday 6 took us to the City of Joy, where the home team, Diamond Harbour FC, registered their first win in the competition.
Moyanoâs late strike in the first half was neutralized by Marcus Jospeh, but Hugo DR was determined to clinch all three points as Diamond Harbour defeated Dempo 2-1.
The final clash of Matchday 6 took us to Meghalaya, where the home team, Shillong Lajong, got the better of Real Kashmir after scripting a big comeback win.
It took Haokip less than a quarter to break the deadlock and put the visitors ahead, but Buam and Kharsong led the comeback as Shillong Lajong defeated Real Kashmir 2-1.

As things stand after Matchday 6, all teams have opened their points tally. Three sides from Northeastern India find themselves atop the points table with 4 points.
Diamond Harbour, who were at the bottom of the table until the last matchday, have leapfrogged many teams to take the 5th spot.
Real Kashmir, Dempo and Rajasthan FC are at the bottom of the IFL points table with 1 point each and would be hoping to get back to winning ways before itâs too late.

What to expect in matchweek 3 of IFL 2025-26:
Matchweek 3 will begin with Chanmari hosting Dempo. The Mizoram oufit will be eyeing their second win of the season whereas Dempo must strive for nothing less than all three points in the upcoming game.
The last fixture of Matchweek 3 will be an interesting one where two sides separated by just a point, Shillong Lajong and Diamond Harbour will lock horns against each other and the team that wins the game will solidify their lead atop the points table.
