Hyderabad FC sign Lenny Rodrigues & Arshdeep Singh to complete Indian contingent for ISL 2024-25

ISL 2021-22 champions are set to sign remaining foreign players in the coming days.
Following their recent acquisition by the BC Jindal Group, Hyderabad FC have now completed their Indian contingent for the upcoming ISL 2024-25 season. The club have been working tirelessly to sign the best available players. A few days ago, Khel Now reported that Hyderabad FC had signed six Indian players and secured their first foreign signing, Japanese winger Cy Goddard.
Khel Now can confirm that Hyderabad FC have signed defensive midfielder Lenny Rodrigues and goalkeeper Arshdeep Singh to round out their Indian contingent for the season.
“Hyderabad FC have strengthened their goalkeeping department by adding Arshdeep Singh from FC Goa. They’ve also signed the experienced midfielder Lenny Rodrigues, which will greatly benefit their young squad,” said a source tracking Hyderabad FC’s transfer moves.
At 37, Lenny Rodrigues is a well-known figure in Indian football. The veteran defensive midfielder has made over 313 appearances in his club career, including 144 in the Indian Super League and has represented India 22 times. Rodrigues will bring his expertise to the midfield and serve as a role-model for the youngsters on the team.
Arshdeep Singh, 25, is a crucial signing for the club, who were still in the hunt for a first-choice goalkeeper. With few options available in the market, securing a keeper with 15 ISL appearances last season is a great move. Singh, who mutually terminated his contract with FC Goa, has made 83 first-team appearances, including 50 in the ISL.
Hyderabad FC will start their ISL 2024-25 campaign against Bengaluru FC on September 19, 2024. They began pre-season training earlier this week, but unlike other ISL clubs, which usually have six weeks of preparation, Hyderabad FC will have just 15 days of pre-season.
