ISL 2025-26: Mohun Bagan SG signs Amey Ranawade; Nora Fernandes joins SC Delhi

Amey Ranawade joins Mohun Bagan on loan.
As the new season of the Indian Super League (ISL) approaches, Amey Ranawade has joined Mohun Bagan SG on loan from Kerala Blasters, while Nora Fernandes has completed a permanent transfer to Sporting Club Delhi after terminating his contract ahead of the upcoming ISL campaign.
Amey Ranawade joins Mohun Bagan SG after Asish Rai was ruled out of this season due to a knee injury. Ranawade is expected to return to Kochi next season as part of the club’s long-term plans.
Amey Ranawade joins reigning ISL champions Mohun Bagan SG

The Mumbai-born right back has previously won the ISL Shield and ISL Trophy with Mumbai City FC. He has even plied his trade with Odisha FC and Bengaluru United before putting pen to paper to sign a new contract with Kerala Blasters FC.
However, he has followed the footsteps of Noah Sadaoui and Adrian Luna to leave the club temporarily on loan this season. Ranawade will be donning the maroon and green jersey in the upcoming season to reunite with Sergio Lobera and help the Mariners retain their top honors.
With Ranawade’s departure, Catala is expected to field Sandeep Singh in the right back position. The Mariners, on the other hand, have bolstered their defence by bringing in Ranawade, who will be competing with Ashish Rai for the right back position.
How will Amey Ranawade’s move impact Mohun Bagan SG?
Amey Ranawade’s arrival at Mohun Bagan SG comes at a crucial moment, especially after Asish Rai was ruled out for the entire season. A natural right-back with ISL experience, Ranawade can slot in straight away, offering stability and depth on the flank.
His familiarity with high-tempo systems and defensive discipline should help Mohun Bagan manage the absence of Rai, while also adding reliable cover as the season unfolds.

Nora Fernandes heads to SC Delhi

The Goan goalie has played for Salgaocar and Aizawl FC before making a move to God’s Own Country in 2024. He has decided to follow former KBFC gaffer Tomasz Tchorz to head towards the national capital.
SC Delhi have previously roped in veteran Karanjit Singh and young Vishal Yadav. Nora might be Delhi’s top choice to start as a goalkeeper. With Nora’s departure, the Tuskers are left with only Sachin Suresh and Arsh Shaikh as their two goalies.
How will Nora’s move impact SC Delhi?
Nora Fernandes’ move to Sporting Club Delhi could see him step in as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper. His experience, command of the box and calm distribution make him a strong candidate to start regularly, giving SC Delhi a settled presence at the back and added confidence in their defensive structure going into the season.
