The announcement of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2025–26 fixtures has generated significant excitement among Mohun Bagan Super Giant supporters, as the Mariners prepare to embark on another campaign filled with expectation and ambition.

With the new season drawing closer, attention now turns to how the reigning giants will approach the challenges of a highly competitive league. The Mariners are going to play Kerala Blasters FC for the season opener on 14 February in Salt Lake Stadium (VYBK), Kolkata.

The quest to defend the ISL title begins!

Mohun Bagan Super Giant will be officially kicking off the 2025-26 season of the Indian Super League (ISL), as they’re poised to face off against Kerala Blasters in the opening game of the season on February 14 (2026). The match will be one of the 13 matches that the Mariners are guaranteed to play in the shortened format of the upcoming ISL campaign.

As the defending champions of not only the ISL shield but also the ISL trophy, having won the ISL double last season, a lot of expectations will be upon the Mariners. They will be the team that every other of the ISL sides look to bring down, and Mohun Bagan SG have to play under a high level in their first campaign under Sergio Lobera to be able to do a three-peat of the ISL title success.

Apart from their opening game against Kerala Blasters in the opening game of the ISL campaign, there are some other eye-catching matches that Mohun Bagan fans will be desperately waiting for. The long-awaited Kolkata Derby against East Bengal is scheduled to take place on May 3, which will be the 11th game-week of the ISL campaign.

The mini-Kolkata Derby between Mohammedan SC and Mohun Bagan will be taking place on 28 February (2026) and this will also be the first away game for the Mariners in the campaign. Mohun Bagan will play a repeat of the 2025 ISL final, against Bengaluru FC, on 14 March 2025 at the Sree Kanteeva Stadium (Bengaluru).

They will also be hosting rivals Mumbai City at the Salt Lake Stadium on 21st March in what might be a huge game in terms of implications on the ISL title race. Another big away match for Mohun Bagan SG will be against the reigning Super Cup champions FC Goa, which will take place on 9 May – only six days after the big derby against East Bengal.
