ISL 2026-27: Churchill Brothers fixtures for Phase 1

Indian Super League gears up to witness its first-ever Goan derby

A historic moment awaits the Red Machines as the Goan outfit are set to ply their trade in the Indian Super League(ISL) for the first time in the upcoming 2026-27 season.

The pioneers of the National Football League era and the foundation block of modern club football in India, Churchill Brothers, qualified for the ISL, following Jamshedpur FC’s withdrawal from the Indian Super League.

Tata Steel transferred its entire shareholding in JFSPL (Jamshedpur Football & Sporting Private Limited) and its ISL Club Licensing to Churchill Brothers FC. The Margao outfit will be keen to make its ISL debut a memorable one, and it has already begun assembling a deadly squad.

The Red Machines have roped in their former coach, Dimitris Dimitriou from Cyprus, who provisionally helped Churchill Brothers win the I League in the 2024-25 season.

After a year’s absence from domestic football, Churchill Brothers are back at the top tier of Indian football and the Red Machines are here to win and not just compete.

In this article, we take a closer look at Churchill Brothers’ fixture for Phase 1 of the ISL 2026-27 season.

How do Churchill Brothers’ fixtures for first months of 2026-27 ISL look?

The Red Machines will kickstart their ISL campaign against former champions of India, Mumbai City FC, led by Manolo Marquez at the Fatorda Stadium in Goa on the second matchday of Matchweek 1.

The Goan outfit will play its first five games in front of their home fans at Fatorda Stadium. They will have a major home advantage, and Dimitris Dimitriou will be keen to accumulate maximum points and make the most of it.

However, the opponents are no easy. After taking on the Islanders, the Red Machines will face the reigning champions of India, East Bengal, followed by a clash against Punjab. After battling it out with the Shers, the Red Machines will host the Highlanders and the Mariners in successive home games.

The Red Machine’s first away fixture will be against Inter Kashi, most likely at the Birsa Munda Football Stadium in Ranchi. This will be the first meeting between these two sides after the Inter Kashi vs Churchill fiasco in the I League 2024-25 season.

With Churchill’s inclusion in ISL for the first time, we will witness the first-ever Goan derby in the Indian Super League on 13th December when they take on FC Goa.

Of the 12 possible home games, Churchill Brothers will play seven home games in the first phase of the Indian Super League 2026-27 season.
