FC Goa vs SC Delhi Preview: Predicted Lineups, Team News | ISL 2026-27
FC Goa and SC Delhi will play at the Fatorda Stadium on Wednesday
Gouramangi Singh’s FC Goa will welcome Sporting Club Delhi to the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa on Wednesday for their second match of the MG Indian Super League (ISL) 2026-27 season. Both clubs are seeking their first win of the season and hence this match will definitely be one to watch.
FC Goa have played only one match in the ISL this season so far, as they participated in the 2026-27 AFC Challenge League between 17th-23rd October in Kuwait. FC Goa return back to India after an early exit in the Challenge League, after they lost 2 games out of their 3 total games.
SC Delhi on the other hand, are not having a good run of games either, as they remain in last position in the ISL points table after losing two very close matches to both Bengaluru FC as well as, Mohun Bagan Super Giant.
The match is sure to be an exciting one considering both teams are yet to win a single match since the start of the 2026-27 ISL season.

FC Goa

The Gaurs are yet to keep a clean sheet in all competitions. They started their season off, with a 1-1 draw against Chennaiyin FC on the opening day of the MG ISL 2026-27 season. FC Goa conceded first during the game, but it was Chiki who scored the equaliser for Goa.
Following their ISL opener, the Super Cup winners played three AFC Challenge League games. They lost their first game 1-2 against FC Regar-TadAZ, after gaining an 8th minute lead as Chiki scored again. They then would win 2-1 against Bangladeshi side, Fortis FC.
Their last game was a 1-2 loss against Kuwaiti Al-Qadsia, which resulted in their elimination from the competition. With their focus completely on the ISL now, FC Goa will look to start picking up wins to challenge for the Shield or to bag a playoff berth.
SC Delhi

The Capital Club lost to Bengaluru FC and Mohun Bagan in their first two games of the ISL 2026-27 season and are currently at the bottom of the pile. Their defence has been working hard, as a team they have made 60 clearances in 2 matches.
One of the positives for SC Delhi would be the fact that the club have scored all three goals from open play and they are taking a healthy number of shots on the oppositions goal. Despite the positive offensive display, the team require defensive reinforcements to start winning games.
SC Delhi are one of the few teams that had the opportunity to play in any pre-season tournaments. Despite their great showing in the Durand Cup, they have not been able to have any positive results so far in the season. A dejected FC Goa may prove to be an easy opponent to gain their first points of the season.
Team News
FC Goa’s goalkeeper Bob Raj Jackson is an injury concern.
Aside from that, both clubs have no other injuries or suspensions in their respective squads ahead of their ISL 2026-27 clash on Wednesday.

Player to Watch
Chiki (FC Goa)

Chiki has been one of the best players for the Gaurs since the start of the season. The forward is so far Goa’s lone goal scorer in the ISL, with his goal against Chennaiyin FC in their 1-1 draw. Continuing his form, Chiki was the sole reason as to why FC Goa had a fighting chance in the AFC Challenge League.
The Spaniard scored in all three of Goa’s AFC Challenge League games, however, he couldn’t help his side qualify to the knockout stage. Chiki has settled in well in the FC Goa rank and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he continues his goal scoring form and emerges as one of the strong contenders to win the ISL Golden Boot this season.
Lalrinliana Hnamte (SC Delhi)

Lalrinliana Hnamte’s move to SC Delhi over the summer has been quite positive so far. The 23-year-old got an assist on his ISL debut for Delhi against Bengaluru and the midfielder then scored a goal in a losing effort against Mohun Bagan.
The 23 year-old gave SC Delhi the lead in their 1-2 loss at home to Mohun Bagan SG. Hnamte also scored 3 goals in the Durand Cup, which shows that head coach Tomasz Tchorz has given the player freedom to make the full use of his attacking capabilities.
