Inter Kashi are set to kick off their 2026-27 Indian Super League campaign against the Tuskers at the Shri Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi, Pune. They will be led by Portuguese gaffer Vaz Pinto, who has previously led Sreenidi Deccan in the second division.
Inter Kashi are going through turbulent times. As exclusively reported by KhelNow, Inter Kashi have signed 16 players and have registered a 22-man squad for the upcoming ISL 2026-27 season, which includes national team goalkeeper Albino Gomes.
The Varanasi outfit will have no foreign players to start the season. ISL veteran Sumeet Passi is set to lead the team. Pratik Chaudhari has joined Kashi alongside Nischal Chandan and Wayne Vaz to bolster the defence. Hitesh Sharma and Jitendra Singh will be in the midfield.
In the attack, Ayush Chhikara, Sreekuttan VS and Rosenberg Gabriel will be tasked with the responsibility of scoring goals.
Despite an all Indian squad, the team looks decent on paper with a perfect balance of youth and experience. It will be interesting to see how Vaz Pinto gets the most from the Kashi team, who are set to play their first eight games at home this season.
