ISL 2026-27: Updated points table, most goals, and most assists after NorthEast United FC vs Bengaluru FC
The Highlanders lead the ISL 2026-27 points table.
What an entertaining start we have had to matchweek 4 here in Guwahati. NorthEast United FC and Bengaluru FC produced one of the most entertaining and high voltage fixtures of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2026-27 season so far.
The Highlanders took an early lead, thanks to lightning quick counter-attack and an even better execution by Jithin MS. Both sides went toe-to-toe against each other and gave the fans a game to remember.
Bengaluru FC kept on pushing for an equaliser, but the Highlanders kept things very tight at the back for the majority of the game. Ryan Williams and Borja Martinez continued to pile up the pressure on the home side while Alaeddine Ajaraie and Jithin MS did the honours against the visitors.
Just when it seemed like NorthEast United were heading towards a win, Vineeth came off the bench and equalised for Bengaluru FC in the 93rd minute as both sides shared spoils.
