Tomba Singh joins the Gaurs on a 3-year-deal
FC Goa have officially announced the signing of 22-year-old midfielder Haobam Tomba Singh ahead of the 2026–27 season on a 3-year deal. The 22-year-old midfielder joins the Gaurs after previous spells with East Bengal FC, Classic FA, and Inter Kashi FC.
Despite his young age, Tomba has gained valuable experience across Indian football and arrives with the potential to further strengthen FC Goa’s midfield.
Known for his composure on the ball, energy in midfield, and tactical awareness, Tomba is capable of contributing at both ends of the pitch. His work rate, versatility, and willingness to take responsibility make him an exciting addition as the Club prepares for the new campaign.
First reactions to Tomba’s arrival
Commenting on the signing of Tomba Singh, Lokesh Bherwani, the Director of Football, FC Goa, said:
“Tomba is a young midfielder with immense potential and the right attitude to keep improving. FC Goa’s activity in the summer transfer window so far
The Gaurs acquired the services of Rudra Ved Moola from Shillong Lajong FC, Franchu from Kerala Blasters FC and also the 34-year-old Spanish defensive midfielder Alex Vallejo.
FC Goa have also completed the signing of 28-year-old Spanish defender Álex Zalaya ahead of the 2026-27 season and have added the much-needed defensive stability to the squad. Along with Alex Zalaya, joins his former attacking teammate Christian ‘Chiki’ Isabel, becoming the fourth foreign signing for the Gaurs following the signings of Alex Vallejo, Francisco Feuillassier and Alex Zalaya.
Key players such as Dejan Drazic, Brison Fernandes, Boris Singh, Abdul Rabeeh, Ayush Chhetri, Sahil Tavora and Pol Moreno have bid adieu to the club. Along with this their head coach Manolo Marquez also have parted ways with the Gaurs and joined Mumbai City FC ahead of the 2026-27 season.
The Gaurs have acquired the services of Isak Ralte from Odisha FC. Along with this, the Guars have extended the contract of captain Sandesh Jhingan.
