Inter Kashi's Edmund Lalrindika joins East Bengal FC for Rs 1.45 crores transfer fee

The 26-year-old joins the Torchbearers after a good season with the Warriors of Kashi.
Following an underwhelming Indian Super League (ISL) campaign, East Bengal FC have bolstered their attack with the acquisition of exciting forward Edmund Lalrindika from Inter Kashi. According to sources, the Kolkata-based side has agreed terms with the promising forward on a three-year deal.
An encouraging I-League campaign for Inter Kashi witnessed Edmund step up his game and deliver match-winning performances. Edmund’s addition to the Torchbearers’ setup not only appears to be a prospect but will also immensely benefit the young lad to hone his skills among some experienced players and coaches in the country.
According to Khel Now sources, Edmund joins on a three-year deal with an estimated Rs. 1.45 crore transfer fee (Approx). The deal also includes an option to extend one more year to his contract with EBFC. The Torchbearers beat the likes of Kerala Blasters FC and several other ISL clubs who were in the race for Edmund Lalrindika’s signature on the dotted line.
Edmund Lalrindika is a great signing for East Bengal FC

The Inter Kashi attacker had a productive season last term as he helped them finish in the top two spots in the second division of Indian football. Lalrindika made nine goal contributions in attack for Kashi, while also earning himself an international call-up to the Indian football team.
A player with pace, an eye for a goal and also a versatile attacking option, Edmund’s addition bolsters the East Bengal FC attacking unit, possessing players like Dimitrios Diamantakos and PV Vishnu.
What can Edmund Lalrindika bring to East Bengal FC?
East Bengal FC already have a strong attacking unit with the likes of Raphael Messi Bouli, PV Vishnu, David Lalhlansanga and Dimitrios Diamantakos. Edmund can emerge as a solid contender for any position and can also feature in tournaments like the Durand Cup and the upcoming 2025-26 ISL season.
With PV Vishnu recently making headlines, the EBFC setup has always favoured and prioritised nurturing young talents for the future ambitions of the club. Young Edmund will train under the tutelage of some of the top footballing talents at the Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Krirangan, and sharing the dressing room with the elites will be of immense benefit for his growth as an individual and as a player.
