ISL 2024-25: FC Goa squad, schedule, fixtures, results
The Gaurs begin their campaign with a home fixture against the Men of Steel.
FC Goa are aiming to be one of the contenders for the 2024-25 Indian Super League (ISL) crown. Whether it’s winning the ISL Shield or the ISL Trophy post the playoffs, the Gaurs have lofty ambitions and the will to achieve them. Moreover, with Manolo Marquez heading into the second season of his stint as head coach of the club, the expectations are high.
The first-ever winners of the ISL Shield begin their 2024-25 league campaign with a fixture against Jamshedpur FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa on Tuesday, 17 September 2024. The second match falls against the newest entrants into the ISL fold, Mohammedan SC, which comes to the premier division after winning the I-League last season.
The arrival of several notable individuals will certainly boost FC Goa’s chances in the upcoming season. Players like Laxmikant Kattimani, Iker Guarrotxena, Dejan Drazic and more add much quality to the team which already had several impressive figures.
FC Goa must find consistency early on in the campaign to stay in contention for winning the title. Manolo Marquez will hope that his men can make the JLN stadium in Goa a fortress.
They lost only three fixtures at home last term and must replicate that performance in the 2024-25 campaign. Their form away from home would be crucial and the objective would be to start with a win when they travel to Kolkata to face MDSC for the first away fixture of the term.
