The Gaurs will look to continue their winning momentum.
FC Goa will lock horns against the Shers on Wednesday evening in the Indian Super League. The Gaurs bounced back and silenced all their critics’ after they defeated the table toppers. Manolo Marquez’s men made a statement on the pitch and showed their class against Zaragoza’s men.
Both teams have had some ups and downs till now but overall quality-wise both teams are on the same level. They are separated by only three points in the table but the Shers have two games in hand. This will be a mouthwatering fixture for sure.
The Stakes
FC Goa
The Gaurs showed their class on the pitch as they completely dominated Bengaluru FC and trashed them by 3-0. They will be looking to perform similarly against the Shers when they face each other in a few days. They are undefeated against Punjab FC and will look to continue their record against them.
Manolo Marquez has full trust in his players and his men didn’t let him down. Just like the previous fixture, they will have to perform as a team and they will look to get high up in the points table.
Punjab FC
The Shers came back from a goal down to beat Owen Coyle’s Chennaiyin FC as they won the game by 3-2 at home. But against the Gaurs they will have to be very well prepared as away from home they did face issues last time out.
Punjab FC will have to make their plan very well and will have to give their best to get a positive result. If they win this fixture then just before the international break they will have 15 points and will be at a good spot in the table. This fixture will be an important one for the Shers for sure.

Players to Watch
Dejan Drazic (FC Goa)
The Serbian has impressed everyone with his work rate on the pitch. Even though he failed to finish a lot of chances that he created still he is always a threat on the wing.
He is a versatile player who can play at various attacking positions. In the last match against the Blues, he scored a goal and this will surely boost his confidence for the upcoming fixture. His crosses and entry in the penalty box are always dangerous as he can find Sadiku out of nowhere. The Serbian will have to be at his best against the Shers.
Luka Majcen (Punjab FC)
Even after coming back from injury, he does not stop performing on the pitch. The Slovenian showed his call against Chennaiyin FC in their last match. Despite wearing a face mask he was able to play his natural game and helped his team to win the match.
Against the Gaurs, he will look to perform similarly for sure. What makes him so lethal is his movements inside the box and clinical finishing. He is probably one of the best strikers out there in the league this season. His role will be crucial for the Shers against FC Goa.
