Jamshedpur FC's Khalid Jamil opens up about the long ISL journey ahead

The introduction of the rule mandating seven Indian players on the pitch has been a transformative move in Indian Super League. He is a firm believer in the potential of Indian football, having previously worked wonders with NorthEast United FC and Aizawl FC. Jamil’s presence is a reminder that when Indian coaches are given a chance, they are capable of producing extraordinary results.

In addition to nurturing homegrown talent, Jamil addressed the concerns regarding the four-foreign-player rule, noting that with six foreign players registered per team, there are still ample opportunities for them, even in the event of injuries. His focus remains on balancing the contributions of both Indian and foreign players to ensure team success.

As Jamshedpur FC look to continue their winning form the clash against Mumbai City FC will be a true test of their mettle.
