With both teams desperate for a victory, a win for either side will be comforting heading into the final six match weeks. For the Red Miners, a win is imperative to maintain their momentum in the ISL Shield race and solidify their 2nd spot in the league. Meanwhile, FC Goa are gonna be desperate to hold onto the 2nd spot till the end of the season.
The Stakes
Jamshedpur FC
The year 2025 has witnessed a resurgence for Jamshedpur FC, with the team displaying a newfound confidence under the guidance of head coach Khalid Jamil. This has been evident in their impressive performances against Bengaluru FC and Mumbai City FC. A hard-fought draw against table-toppers Mohun Bagan further solidified their position as one of the strongest teams this season.
As they now welcome FC Goa in this home fixture, Jamshedpur FC will be aiming to maintain this positive momentum. While building upon their recent successes, coach Khalid Jamil will be keen to add to the club’s points tally.
FC Goa
After amassing 33 points in their 17 ISL games, Manolo Marquez’s men have had a resurgence of epic proportions this season. The free-scoring side have scored in each of their league games irrespective of the result and added two more to the tally against Chennaiyin FC.
Manolo Marquez’s side are unbeaten in their last 12 ISL games and are fighting Mohun Bagan Super Giant for the ISL Shield this season. Hence we can expect them to be the favourites against Jamshedpur FC.

Jamshedpur FC and FC Goa will have a fully fit squad at their disposal.

Players To Watch
Rei Tachikawa (Jamshedpur FC)

The Japanese midfielder has been a cornerstone of the club since entering the ISL stage. With prior experience of playing football in countries like Japan and Malta, Tachikawa brings a unique blend of technical ability and international experience to the team. Retained from last season, the 27-year-old has quickly established himself as a key player, and showing signs of a player entering his prime.
A player known for his dynamic runs, precise free-kicks, and a knack for scoring spectacular goals, Tachikawa has contributed with two goals and two assists in 15 games this season. With an ability to score vital goals, his composure and versatility are an asset to his team.
Armando Sadiku (FC Goa)

The Gaurs’ striker has so far been the brightest spark in their 2024-25 ISL campaign for Manolo Marquez’s side. While the Albanian was an unused substitute against Chennaiyin FC, the forward has been leading the line for his side this season.
The Gaurs’ striker has scored nine goals in 15 league games while also supplying his two assists. He will once again be the favourite to start and also provide the breakthrough against Jamshedpur. Keeping Sadiku under check will be Khalid Jamil’s men’s biggest concern and focus as they look to restrict his influence on the game.
