Kerala Blasters FC’s Vibin Mohanan pens four-year contract extension

The promising youngster’s growth has impressed the club.
Kerala Blasters FC have announced that midfielder Vibin Mohanan has extended his stay with the club by signing a new four-year contract until 2029. Vibin, who joined Kerala Blasters’ youth wing in 2020, was promoted to the first team in 2022. Since then, the 21-year-old midfielder has made significant strides, showcasing his talent across several major competitions, including the Indian Super League (ISL), Durand Cup, and Super Cup.
To date, Vibin has made 28 appearances across all competitions for Kerala Blasters, registering his maiden goal and providing 4 assists. Vibin was also recently selected to represent India in the U-23 national team, marking a significant milestone in his career.
Expressing his excitement over the contract extension, Vibin said:“I am incredibly grateful to Kerala Blasters for believing in me and supporting my development. It’s a privilege to continue my journey with the club, and I am determined to give my best for the team in the coming years. The fans here in Kerala have always been amazing, and I can’t wait to keep making them proud.”
Kerala Blasters FC Sporting Director, Karolis Skinkys said:“We are delighted to have secured Vibin for the long term. He is a player with immense potential and has already shown his capabilities at such a young age. We believe Vibin will continue to grow and become a key part of our project here at Kerala Blasters.”
Vibin is an Indian Arrows FC graduate and he played for the developmental side in the I-League and the I-League relegation stages. The midfielder showed glimpses of promise with his former side, securing a move to Kerala Blasters.
Since then the genius in the middle of the park has gone from strength to strength, becoming a mainstay in Ivan Vukomanovic’s side and more recently impressing Mikael Stahre to garner game time under him this year as well.
