The Tuskers aim for redemption after back-to-back defeats.

Kerala Blasters are set to battle Hyderabad FC in their home fixture of the contest in the Indian Super League (ISL). Mikael Stahre’s side will be looking to bounce back with a win, after suffering back-to-back defeats in their last two matches.

Mikael Stahre, commenting on the team’s confidence after suffering consecutive defeats, stated, “It always hurts when you lose a game.

“We have a solid group and we won’t let a single game influence our confidence. I have to admit that we have to step up but we are not lacking in confidence or energy. We have some things that we have to develop and improve. However, we are well prepared for the game tomorrow.”

Mikael Stahre’s thoughts

Mikael Stahre was asked about his plans to revive the morale of the team. He replied, “I’m not reading the table, especially not after two defeats. That’s quite normal when we are playing in a competitive league. If we win some games, then we are back in the top five again. So, you can’t let the result influence your mind too much and have to move on.”

“We know that we are in a situation where we need three-pointers; that’s crystal clear. I still think we are making progress. It’s my job now, to take the negatives off, let it be like learning points, and move on to the next game,” Mikael Stahre added.

The Swedish tactician, sharing his thoughts on his club’s chances, said, “I’ve been in professional football for many years now. I have a really good feeling about this club. I have a really good feeling about this team.”

“We are doing well in training and I know that in the long term, we will achieve many good things. However, we have to deliver in the short term as well and that’s our job. I have no negative feelings and no stress, but we have to perform,” Mikael Stahre concluded.
