The Nawabs face NorthEast United FC in their next fixture.
Hyderabad FC are currently experiencing a challenging period in the ongoing season of the Indian Super League. The club has suffered three consecutive defeats after the break. The Nawabs’ form at home has also been an area of concern as the Yellow and Black have been winless at home this season.
Lenny Rodriguez spoke to the media earlier today ahead of the fixture of Hyderabad FC vs NorthEast United FC and here are the excerpts.
On facing Northeast United FC
NorthEast United FC have made a promising start to the season. Hyderabad FC have also had a better record in the head-to-head against the Highlanders. The midfielder seemed confident in facing the opposition. “North-East United FC, it’s a very strong team, I can say. They have very good strikers and the coach is also very good. So, we are also prepared for them and the pressure is on them because they have a very good team and we are building up.
“So, tomorrow’s match will not be easy for them but we will also go all out and hope we get a positive result,” Lenny Rodriguez stated.
Thoughts on the clash
Hyderabad FC had a good break until they resumed playing again. With Head Coach Thangboi Singto departing and Interim Coach Shameel Chembakath taking over, Hyderabad FC had limited time to train. Talking about their preparations the midfielder said. “We are working hard in every training session and the mood is positive. So, everyone is giving their best.
“And when we go tomorrow, we have to go out with a strong mentality and come up with a positive result,” Lenny Rodriguez opined.
On the morale of the team
Hyderabad FC have lost games consecutively and haven’t scored in the past 4 games. Addressing the morale and mood of the dressing room the midfielder said, “The morale like I said, everyone is confident and like they want to give their best. So, we are working together and hopefully, we get a good result tomorrow,” Lenny Rodriguez concluded.
