One of the most played rivalries of the Indian Super League (ISL) will take center stage on Thursday as Chennaiyin FC and FC Goa lock horns at the Marina Arena. Who will come out on top in this mammoth clash?

The Marina Machans have played four ISL games and have collected seven points. They are coming off a 3-2 away win against NorthEast United. This will be Chennaiyin FC’s second home game this season after they lost 1-0 to Mohammedan Sporting at the Marina Arena in September.

FC Goa

Manolo Marquez’s side have had a disappointing start to their ISL campaign, having picked up just 5 points from their 5 league games. The Gaurs are coming into this clash after suffering a 2-1 loss to Mumbai City at the Fatorda Stadium. They are currently on a two-game winless streak. 

Owen Coyle handed Wilmar Jordan Gil his first start of the season in the last game. The centre forward didn’t disappoint as he scored twice in the win against NorthEast United last Thursday. Riding high on confidence, he would be the man to watch for CFC against FC Goa.

FC Goa’s striker Armando Sadiku has so far been the brightest spark in their 2024-25 ISL campaign. The Albanian is the joint top scorer of the league with five goals and has scored in all four ISL games that he has played.
