Chhangte is the latest attacking option for the Mariners

Mohun Bagan have made a statement of intent by securing the blockbuster signing of Lallianzuala Chhangte in the 2026 summer transfer window, strengthening their attacking line for the 2026-27 campaign. The Mariners are paying big money to the experienced forward, knowing that he will bring a major boost in quality to their attacking line for the foreseeable future.

Chhangte has been playing in the Indian Super League (ISL) for over a decade now, having the experience of playing for the likes of Delhi Dynamos, Chennaiyin FC as well as Mumbai City. His best years came after he joined Mumbai City in 2022, with the 29-year-old going on to win the ISL League Shield as well as the ISL Cup with them. He has also won the AIFF Men’s Player of the Year award twice in the last four years, as well as the ISL Hero of the League award in 2023.

Maclaren can now expect better delivery into the final third for him to latch onto opportunities and look to score even more decisive goals for the Mariners.
