In their latest meeting on the 15th of February 2025 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kochi it was Mohun Bagan who secured a 3-0 victory against the Tuskers at their fortress.

The match started off in an attacking tone with Blasters making back-to-back initiatives to knock the Mohun Bagan doors and break the deadlock. However, despite putting in their best efforts, they failed to change the scoreline as the Mohun Bagan defensive unit remained compact and impenetrable.

In the 27th minute, Liston Colaco effectively controlled the ball inside the Blasters 18-yard-box to beat the defenders and provide a carpet pass to Maclaren, who seamlessly found the back of the net to register the opener for the match.

Just minutes later, Jason Cummings found a weakness in the Blasters backline and provided a lofted ball to Maclaren. The striker, who saw Sachin Suresh out of his position, capitalised on this error to chip the ball above the keeper and double the advantage for the visiting side, making to score 0-2 just ahead of the break.

In the second half, Mohun Bagan got a free kick just outside the Blasters box. Cummings, took the free kick which after a deflection went straight to Manvir Singh who later provided the ball to Alberto Rodriguez. The defender attempted his luck from a tight angle and to his fortune the ball rolled into the back of the net, marking the nail in the coffin.

This way, Mohun Bagan secured a comfortable 3-0 victory against the Blasters at Kochi.

After this, both teams faced off yet again in the Super Cup. However, Mohun Bagan played with their young Indian squad. But, despite this, they defeated the Blasters to enter the semi-finals of the Super Cup 2025.
