The Mariners had a night to forget as they started their ISL 2026-27 campaign with a 1-0 loss to NorthEast United. Mohun Bagan, led by head coach Panagiotis Dimperis, beat SC Delhi 2-1 in their last game to climb up the table.
They are currently 6th with three points; a win against CFC will take them closer to the top.

The Marina Machans drew 1-1 with FC Goa in their season opener, and this was followed by a 2-0 loss to Bengaluru FC at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium.
The match against Mohun Bagan will be Chennaiyin FC’s third away match in a row. With just one point from two games, Clifford Miranda’s side needs to pull up their socks to have a decent shot at qualifying for the playoffs.
Team News
Mohun Bagan will be playing with a fully fit squad against the Marina Machans
Glan Martins, Maheson Singh, and Nikola Stojanovic missed Chennaiyin FC’s clash against Bengaluru FC last weekend and they might not be ready to play Mohun Bagan.

Player to Watch
Miguel Figueira (Mohun Bagan)
The Mohun Bagan forward was on the scoresheet in his side’s 2-1 win over DC Delhi. Miguel Figueira has taken a total of 8 shots this season, off which five have been on target.
The Brazilian scored 2 goals and provided 5 assists for East Bengal last season in 12 ISL matches; hence, he is a proven matchwinner in Indian conditions. Playing against an error-prone Chennaiyin FC backline, Migiel Figueira and company will fancy his chances of getting on the scoresheet on Monday.
Ramon Tanque (Chennaiyin FC)
The Chennaiyin FC forward is yet to get on the scoresheet; however, his ability to drop down and help his team is second to none. Having joined on loan from Persib Bandung, Ramon Tanque has the skills but lacks the killer blow.
Ramon has taken a total of 11 shots in his two ISL games this season, however, just three of these shots were on target. Given the talent the forward possesses, it is only a matter of time before one of his shots finds the back of the net.
