Mohun Bagan vs Odisha FC Preview - Team news, lineups | ISL 2026-27

The Mariners look to extend their winning streak

Mohun Bagan look to maintain their impressive winning run in the 2026-27 Indian Super League (ISL) when they host Odisha FC at the Salt Lake Stadium (Kolkata) on Thursday, 5 November (2026).

Riding on a three-match winning streak, the Mariners look to extend that positive run even further and look to pile on the misery on an Odisha FC side that are still looking for their first win of the new campaign.

The Stakes

Mohun Bagan

Mohun Bagan SG will welcome the Juggernauts at home in the ISL.

Despite having a shaky start to the 2026-27 ISL campaign with their loss to NorthEast United, Mohun Bagan have bounced back from it in a pretty compelling fashion. They might not be playing the most thrilling attacking football under Panagiotis Dilmperis yet, but they are at least winning matches on a consistent basis.

Dilmperis will look to ensure they can at least maintain that but will urge his players to be more impactful and innovative in the attack. He’ll push them to start being braver in creating chances and finish them off in clinical fashion to entertain the fans at the stadium.

The Mariners need to maintain a compact shape to dominate the game against the unpredictable Odisha FC side, knowing that another win would further raise the motivational levels of the players. However, dropping points to this out-of-form Odisha side would be a particularly gutting feeling that Panagiotis will want to avoid.

Odisha FC

Odisha FC vs NorthEast United LIVE: Confirmed lineups and pre-match updates for ISL 2026-27 match
Odisha FC need to win their first game in the ISL 2026-27.

Odisha FC have had a pretty frustrating start to their 2026-27 ISL campaign, failing to win any of their opening three matches and only scoring two goals in that period. The Juggernauts are still working with a revamped unit from last season but are yet to be able to tap into their groove.

They have been able to play out two draws in their last two matches but are yet to get three points in any match.

TG Purushothaman is going to look to ensure that his players are able to hold together a really tight defensive shape to frustrate the Mariners and not allow them to play their natural attacking game. However, he’ll also need his players to be braver in creating more unpredictable attacking moves and being prolific in converting chances to be able to get anything positive from this game.

A win for Odisha FC will be a huge confidence-booster, but dropping points again can cause doubts about this unit’s quality to be raised.

Team News

Panagiotis Dilmperis is still sweating on the fitness of Jamie Maclaren, Miguel Figueira and Lalengmawia Ralte heading into this clash. Sahal Abdul Samad is another doubt after going off early in the last game against Punjab FC.

Odisha FC should have the same squad as they did in the previous game against NorthEast United.

Head-to-Head Record

Odisha FC wins – 2

Players to Watch Out For

Samir Zeljkovic (Mohun Bagan)

ISL 2026-27: Lee Erwin, Amrinder Singh lead charge in Team of the Week for Matchweek 4
Samir Zeljkovic is in action for the Mariners

Samir Zeljovic might get to play a more advanced role in the Mohun Bagan midfield in the clash against Odisha FC, and it might be an ideal chance for him to try to get his first goal contribution for the Mariners.

The Bosnia & Herzegovina midfielder has created quite a few chances for his Mohun Bagan teammates in the last few matches but is yet to be rewarded for it.

He’ll look to be a thorn for the Odisha FC backline by making clever runs into the open pockets of space and trying to use his creativity smartly. Zeljkovic is going to look to have more control in the key areas and impress with his final delivery to try and help Mohun Bagan get more major goal-scoring chances.

He’ll also try to make late runs into goal-scoring areas to help enhance his side’s goal threat and be able to open his account for the Mariners in the ISL.

Everton (Odisha FC)

Odisha FC brought Everton Nascimento on board ahead of the 2026-27 ISL season because of his goal-scoring ability, hoping he can be decisive in the big matches for them. The 33-year-old forward is yet to score in three ISL matches for the Juggernauts but has a big chance to introduce himself to the division in style against Mohun Bagan.

Everton will look to be a thorn in the Mariners’ backline with his clever off-the-ball running and ability to drag defenders out of their comfort zone. The 33-year-old is going to look to get at the end of chances with his smart positioning but will need to finish them off in a compelling fashion to raise Odisha FC’s chances of getting a big result.
