Defender Nikhil Barla has emphasised the importance of maintaining momentum asJamshedpur FC gear up for their next crucial fixture in the Indian Super League 2025-26 season against FC Goa in the league.
Following a strong performance in their previous outing, Barla highlighted that the team cannot afford to lose focus.
“The last win gives us confidence, but we know the next game is a fresh challenge. We have to stay focused and continue performing at the same level,” he said.
Jamshedpur FC is set to face FC Goa at the JRD Tata Sports Complex at 7.30 PM on May 1st.

With the upcoming match carrying significant weight in the standings, Nikhil Barla revealed that preparations have been intense.
“We are preparing very seriously. Training sessions have been intense, and we are working on both attacking and defensive aspects. Everyone knows how important these three points are,” he noted.
Having made a key impact in the last game, he remained grounded about his role going forward.
“I just want to give my best for the team. Whether it’s defending or supporting the attack, I’ll do whatever the team needs to get the result,” he added.
The defender also acknowledged the challenge posed by the opposition but stressed that the team’s focus remains internal.
“Every team in this league is competitive. We respect the opponent, but our focus is on our own game and how we can execute our plans well,” he said.
Barla also had a message for the fans, calling for their continued support. “The fans have always supported us, and we need them again. Their energy motivates us, and we will give everything on the pitch to make them proud,” he said.
