Odisha FC vs Mumbai City FC lineups, team news, prediction and preview
The Juggernauts will be looking for all three points against the defending champions.
The Indian Super League (ISL) club Odisha FC will be looking to make it three wins in three games when they welcome Mumbai City FC in Match week 11 at the Kalinga Stadium.
The Juggernauts have lived up to their nickname in their last two encounters under coach Sergio Lobera while scoring 10 goals in the process. They will be facing a Mumbai City FC side who will be looking to cause a huge upset on the 5th of December at the Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar.
The last meeting between the two sides took place in October, with both teams playing out a 1-1 draw. While Mumbai City FC were the better side on the night, Odisha FC will be looking to prove themselves at home this time around.
The home side, Odisha FC, has managed to accumulate 15 points from ten games this season and hold the 3rd spot in the league table. On the other hand with 13 points from nine matches this season, Mumbai currently holds the 8th position in the ISL standings.
With both teams looking to land a death blow on the other’s playoff chances, the game will be an intriguing fixture for the ISL fans.
The Stakes
Odisha FC
The Juggernauts have had an interesting journey during the 2024-25 ISL season, but have found their feet in the last two games. Coach Lobera’s side have shown flashes of brilliance and played an exciting attacking brand of football in their 4-2 victory against Bengaluru FC. The team has shown signs of being a formidable side and look like a team finally on the same page.
The Juggernauts boast a talented squad, with forward Diego Mauricio stepping up in the last few games. Intending to compete for top honors this season, Odisha will be looking to give a good account of themselves against Mumbai.
Mumbai City FC
The Islanders have not been at their supreme best this season and currently sit 8th in the standings under head coach Petr Kratky. While they have had their share of struggles in recent weeks, Mumbai managed to come out victorious with a 1-0 win against Hyderabad. While recording two wins in their last 5 games, the Islanders will be keen to find their feet at the Kalinga Stadium.
Lallianzualla Chhangte had a special night against Hyderabad and will be again the club’s go-to man against the Juggernauts on Thursday. Mumbai will be looking to move up the standings but will face an uphill challenge against an in-form and free-scoring Odisha side.

Players to watch
Diego Mauricio (Odisha FC)
The Brazilian forward has been one of the key players for Odisha FC in the ongoing ISL season. While boasting an impressive goal-scoring record, Mauricio can create chances for his teammates and will be a constant threat to his opponents.
In 10 appearances this season, Mauricio has already scored seven goals and contributed two assists. The 33-year-old’s goal against Bengaluru highlighted his ability to dribble past his markers and apply the finish in a tight window. While he has started in 60 percent of Odisha’s games this season, the Brazilian will be a key player once again against Mumbai.
Jon Toral (Mumbai City FC)
Boasting a CV as one of the best players in the league, Toral will be a key player for Mumbai against Odisha. While he has not been able to deliver as per the expectations, the Spaniard is still settling into the Islanders’ squad. With injuries at the start of the season impacting his momentum, the 29-year-old will be looking to prove his doubters wrong at the Kalinga Stadium.
While the Spaniard does create chances for himself and his teammates, coach Petr Kratky will be working towards getting the best out of him. A player hungry to gain some confidence, Toral will not be fearful of stepping up against a tough Odisha side. Against the Juggernauts, he will be a player to keep an eye out for the fans.
