Odisha FC advanced to the ISL semis with a hard-fought victory.
Odisha FC defeated Kerala Blasters in a high intensity ISL fixture, that had all the drama and entertainment one can expect from a knockout fixture.
The first half saw either sides create chances, but some great goalkeeping display, as well as a slight mismatch on the face of the goal, saw the teams head into the dressing room with the score ‘0-0’ displayed on the board.
In the second half, Kerala came up with the goods, when the Tuskers won the ball in the middle of the park and made space for themselves with some quick passing, which was ultimately capitalised on by Fedor Cernych.
Odisha however, came back with an answer late into the game, as Diego Mauricio scored a simple tap-in in the 87th minute, to take the game to extra-time, wherein a quite similar goal by the Juggernauts, saw them take the lead, and seal a hard-fought victory at home.
