East Bengal sit at the 11th spot in the ISL Table.

After a series of back-to-back defeats, East Bengal finally took a sigh of relief and returned to winning ways in ISL 2024-25 with a strong victory against the Kerala Blasters at home. The home side started on the front foot with their main man Dimitrios Diamantakos unleashing a left foot shot on target, but Sachin Suresh had his angles covered. Suresh again came to the Blasters’ rescue as he denied Cleiton Silva an opening through a direct free-kick.

PV Vishnu broke the deadlock in the 20th minute and scored a wonderful goal to put his side into the driving seat. The Red and Golds continued to pile up the pressure on the away side and created a lot of chances before scoring the second goal of the night. Hijazi Maher rose above everyone and put the ball into the back of the net to make 2-0 in favour of his side. The Blasters did pull a goal back in the form of Danish Farooq, but it was too late until then.
