ISL 2024-25: Updated Points Table, most goals, and most assists after match 31, Odisha FC vs East Bengal FC

East Bengal lost their sixth consecutive game in ISL 2024-25.

Odisha FC returned to action for the first time after the national break and secured a massive victory to lift themselves to the table. The Juggernauts put up a strong display in front of the home fans and handed East Bengal their sixth back-to-back defeat of the season. Amrinder Singh made two early saves before Roy Krishna broke the deadlock and put his side in the lead.

East Bengal bounced back in the game and scored with the final kick of the first half, thanks to a penalty kick from Dimitrios Diamantakos. Both sides had a few chances to take the lead until Mourtada Fall headed it home for Sergio Lobera’s side in the 69th minute. East Bengal were reduced to ten men after Provat Lakra received a red card. The home side failed to convert a lot of chances late in the second half. 

A brief look at the points table

Bengaluru FC have strengthened their lead at the top of the table with thirteen points in five games. Jamshedpur FC are placed at the second spot with 12 points in hand. Mohun Bagan are ranked third with ten points while Punjab FC sits at fourth with nine points. Kerala Blasters continue to be in fifth position with eight points and Chennaiyin FC are placed in sixth spot with seven points in hand.

Odisha FC have jumped up to the seventh position after securing a win against East Bengal at home. Mumbai City FC sit in the eighth position with five points in hand. NorthEast United FC and FC Goa have slipped to ninth and tenth respectively.

Mohammedan SC are ranked eleventh and Hyderabad FC are still ranked eleventh following their defeat today. East Bengal continues to sit at the bottom of the table following their sixth defeat of the season.
