ISL 2024-25: Updated Points Table, most goals, and most assists after match 39, FC Goa vs Bengaluru FC
FC Goa needed this big-margin victory to boost their confidence.
FC Goa returned to action in the best possible way with a statement win against table-toppers Bengaluru FC. The Gaurs cleaned up the Blues and tore them into pieces with a five-star performance at the Fatorda Stadium. With this, Bengaluru FC’s unbeaten run and perfect start has come to an end. Armando Sadiku opened the scoring for the Gaurs in the 63rd minute.
Brison Fernandes added a second goal and doubled the home side’s advantage before Dejan Drazic added the final blow by putting the third goal past Gurpreet Singh Sandhu to put the game to bed. With this win, FC Goa have cemented a place in the top six and have sent a statement of intent across the league that they have finally arrived.

Bengaluru FC’s unbeaten run finally came to an end at the hands of FC Goa, but they continue to lead the pack with 16 points in hand. Mohun Bagan and Punjab FC are placed second and third respectively while Jamshedpur FC hold the fourth spot. FC Goa jumped directly to the fifth spot from 10th. NorthEast United have slipped down to the sixth position.
Chennaiyin FC continue to be in the seventh position and Odisha FC are ranked eighth. Kerala Blasters have slipped to ninth while Mumbai City FC are placed tenth. Hyderabad FC continue to be at eleventh. Mohammedan SC and East Bengal are still at the bottom of the table after six matches.
