All four teams will be going head-to-head in home and away games in their respective ISL semi-final encounters.

The 2024-25 Indian Super League (ISL) season has reached the semi-finals stage after the elimination of NorthEast United FC and Mumbai City FC from the playoffs. The remaining four sides will kick off their pursuit of the ISL title on April 2, with home and away ties.

Following the two knockout games, Bengaluru FC and Jamshedpur FC have made their way to the ISL playoffs and will be facing FC Goa and Mohun Bagan Super Giant in the semi-finals. While the Blues hammered five goals past the Islanders, the Red Miners shocked the ISL fans with a superb 2-0 win over the Highlanders.

With both mouth-watering encounters set to be played in a matter of days, let us look at how the four sides competing will counter each other.

Bengaluru FC are on the hunt for a second ISL title

The Blues’ head coach Gerard Zaragoza will be delighted with his team’s amazing performance in their last game against Mumbai City FC. A clinical performance that saw Bengaluru blast five goals past the Islanders who were unable to stop their potent attackers, the momentum is well and truly with Zaragoza’s men.

Next up for the Spaniard will be a crucial two-legged tie against second-placed FC Goa, who have been a difficult puzzle for the Blues to solve this season. In two encounters this season, the Gaurs have won and drawn once against the Blues while scoring five goals and conceding only twice. It will be a real test of their title ambitions when they welcome Goa to the Sree Kanteerava Stadium on April 2 for the first leg.

The Red Miners have had an impressive 2024-25 ISL season, and they continued their impressive form in their crucial knockout game against NorthEast United FC. Coach Khalid Jamil will be optimistic about their chances of winning it all this season after their 2-0 win over the Highlanders.

Next for coach Khalid will be a visit from a former employer as they will be welcoming Mohun Bagan Super Giant at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur. In two encounters this season against the Mariners, the Red Miners have drawn once and lost the other game while scoring once and conceding four times. The ISL shield winners have been in imperious form as they amassed one of the highest points totals in league history.

With the glory of being named the ISL champions at the end of the season on offer, all four teams will surely be putting their best foot forward for the upcoming semi-finals.
