ISL 2024-25: Updated Points Table, most goals, and most assists after match 116, Mohun Bagan SG vs Mohammedan SC

Mohun Bagan SG are 10 points clear at the top of the ISL table.

The struggle continued for Bengaluru FC as they ended up on the losing side yet again. Punjab FC came back from behind to rescue all three points in a five-goal thriller in the national capital in today’s first game. Edgar Mendez scored the opening goal in the 49th minute before Asmir Suljić made it 1-1 from the spot.

Filip Mrzljak came off the bench to put his side 2-1 up before Rahul Bheke made it 2-2 in the 92nd minute. Luka Majcen scored the winning goal in the 96th minute and won the game for the home side.

In the second match, Mohun Bagan ran riot against their city rivals Mohammedan SC. The Mariners came all out and put together a well worked performance and pulled off a 4-0 victory. Subhasish Bose broke the deadlock in the 12th minute before Manvir Singh made it 2-0.

Bose added one more goal in the 43rd minute. Things went from bad to worse for the Black Panthers as they were reduced to ten men. Manvir then made it 4-0 and put the game to bed.

A brief look at the points table

Mohun Bagan have extended their lead at the top of the standings with a win tonight and now have 43 points in 18 games. FC Goa have not moved from the second position with 33 points. Jamshedpur FC remain unchanged at third with 31 points while NorthEast United stick to the fourth spot with 28 points. Bengaluru FC and Mumbai City FC are placed fifth and sixth with 28 points each.

Odisha FC retained the seventh position with 24 points. Kerala Blasters hold the eighth spot with 24 points. Punjab FC are still positioned ninth but now have 23 points. East Bengal remained at the tenth spot with 18 points and Chennaiyin FC are still positioned at eleventh with 18. Hyderabad FC continued to sit at twelfth with 13 points. Mohammedan SC remained intact at the bottom of the table with eleven points.
