Match 148 of the 2024-25 Indian Super League (ISL) witnessed Hyderabad FC go down against Punjab FC at home. The Nizams have put up a series of disappointing performances and will finish the current season in the bottom half of the table. Alex Saji’s own goal helped the visitors open the scoring in the 41st minute and they took a 0-1 lead into half-time.

The Shers started the second half on the front foot with Luka Majcen doubling his side’s lead with a goal in the 56th minute. Shami Singamayum added a third goal for the away side and put the game to bed. It seemed that Punjab FC were cruising towards a comfortable 0-2 win until Ramhlunchhunga pulled a goal back.

Mohun Bagan are still at the top of the table with 53 points in 23 games. FC Goa are positioned second with 48 points from 22 games. Bengaluru FC are placed third with 38 points from 23 games while Jamshedpur FC continue to sit at fourth with 38 points from 23 games. NorthEast United FC remain at the fifth spot with 35 points in 23 games. Odisha FC hold the fifth position with 33 points in 24 games.

Mumbai City FC have been relegated to the seventh position with 33 points in 22 matches. East Bengal are still ranked eighth with 27 points. Punjab FC have been promoted to ninth with 27 points in 23 matches. Kerala Blasters have come down to tenth with 25 points in 22 outings. Chennaiyin FC have further dropped down to eleventh with 24 points in 23 games. Hyderabad FC are still positioned twelfth with 17 points from 23 games. Mohammedan SC are still sitting at the bottom of the table with twelve points in 23 matches.
