AIFF roll out tentative ISL 2025–26 fixtures

ISL 2025-26 season to kick off from 14 February.

The All-India Football Federation (AIFF) has released a tentative draft schedule for the ISL 2025–26 season, offering fans a first look at how the upcoming campaign could unfold. The provisional fixture list features all 91 matches, laying out a packed calendar that promises excitement right from the opening day to the final whistle of the season.

AIFF has also clarified that the schedule remains tentative and is open to revisions. Changes may be made based on logistical considerations and the convenience of clubs, broadcasters and other stakeholders involved.

“This schedule is indicative and may be utilized by interested bidders for informational purposes only. The schedule remains subject to change, based on inputs received from the participating clubs, and a final schedule will form a part of the contract.”

ISL 2025–26 season will begin in Kolkata, where defending champions Mohun Bagan Super Giant will welcome Kerala Blasters FC at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan on 14 February. The opening fixture is expected to draw major attention, with two of the league’s biggest clubs facing off right at the start of the campaign.

As per the tentative schedule, the much-talked-about Kolkata Derby has been slotted for 3 May with a 7:30 pm kick-off.

The league phase is likely to conclude on 17 May, when Chennaiyin FC take on Bengaluru FC. The draft also indicates that most matchdays will feature double-header games, except Mondays and Thursdays, with a single round home-and-away format designed to keep the season fast-moving and competitive.

Home venue updates ahead of the season

Several clubs are still locking in their home grounds, leading to a few changes compared to last season. Mohammedan SC, who initially planned to use Kishore Bharati Krirangan, are now expected to stage their home matches at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur.

Inter Kashi are also preparing for a venue switch. After hosting their I-League games in Kalyani last season, the club is now set to move to Bhubaneswar and share the Kalinga Stadium with Odisha FC for the upcoming ISL campaign.

Some teams, however, are opting for continuity. Chennaiyin FC will continue at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, with Mohammedan Sporting visiting on 13 March for their first home game. Northeast United FC, who split their home fixtures between Guwahati and Shillong last season, will base themselves solely at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati this time. Kerala Blasters FC are also set for a change, with the EMS Corporation Stadium in Kozhikode lined up as their home venue.

Final clearance is still awaited for a few stadiums, including the Kalinga Stadium, EMS Corporation Stadium and the Mumbai City Arena, with official confirmation expected soon.bai City Arena.
