ISL 2023-24: Top five players with highest goal contributions

The curtains have been drawn on the 2023-24 Indian Super League (ISL) season, which marked the 10th edition of India’s biggest and most prestigious domestic football league.
From fierce matches to a blockbuster battle for the League Winners’ Shield and ISL title, Season 10 of the league was like no other and had the fans glued to its high-end action.
Amidst these interesting dynamics, certain players stood out from the rest and made their impact on goal, contributing to the attack of their teams.
Today, we recall the amazing feats of such players, who had the most goal contributions across the league.
5. Lallianzuala Chhangte – 16 goal contributions in 25 matches
After a prolific campaign last season Lallianzuala Chhangte brought his impeccable form to the 2023-24 season as well, as he took the entire league by storm, achieving amazing feats and making an impact every time he took to the field.
Chhangte’s outstanding contributions proved to be instrumental in Mumbai’s quest for the League Winners’ Shield and their eventual ISL title victory. The player completed the season with 10 goals and six assists.
4. Noah Sadaoui – 16 goal contributions in 23 matches
Noah Sadaoui was another player who had a crucial role to play in his team’s success. FC Goa’s outstanding campaign, which saw them go on a 12-game unbeaten streak, saw the Moroccan play some beautiful football.
Noah’s amazing footwork, combined with his tenacity and amazing finishing, gave every opponent a hard time. Sadaoui finished the season with 11 goals and five assists to his name.
3. Madih Talal – 16 goal contributions in 22 matches
Punjab FC’s maiden ISL season was one to remember. After a nervy start to the campaign, the Shers slowly got into their groove and were thereafter an impeccable force. Perhaps the biggest patron for them was their French attacker Madih Talal.
Talal’s skillful and smart play helped Punjab immensely in their attacking endeavours. Talal led the league in assists, with 10 to his name and added six goals for a total of 16 goal contributions.
2. Dimitrios Diamantakos – 16 goal contributions in 17 matches
Diamantakos had a stellar season with Kerala Blasters and despite the Tuskers losing their attacking prowess due to injuries, the Greek made sure that the Yellow Brigade didn’t slow down for even a second.
With 13 goals to his name in only 17 appearances, Dimitrios Diamantakos won the ISL Golden Boot and averaged a goal every 102.54 minutes.
1 . Dimitri Petratos – 17 goal contributions in 23 matches
Dimitri Petratos was a key figure in Mohun Bagan Super Giant’s League Winners’ Shield win. The Australian scored 10 goals and provided seven assists, totaling 17 goal contributions in 23 appearances.
Having already proved his worth in the previous season, Petratos once again left his mark on the field, with his top-notch finishing and even better understanding of the game.
Petratos’ incredible connection with his Australian counterpart Jason Cummings also helped Mohun Bagan on several occasions.
