The Gaurs win their second Kalinga Super Cup title in club history.

FC Goa have won the 2025 Kalinga Super Cup title after a comfortable 3-0 win over Jamshedpur FC in the Final at the Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar, on Saturday (May 3, 2025). The Gaurs took the lead in the 32nd minute through Borja Herrera, before the Spaniard doubled the lead six minutes after the break.

The death blow in Jamshedpur dreams came following Dejan Drazic fantastic finish past a helpless Albino Gomes, who had a night to forget. The win makes FC Goa, the first ISL team to win multiple Kalinga Super Cup titles and also helps them earn a chance at playing in the AFC Champions League 2 next season.

Here are the player ratings for the game:

FC Goa Ratings (Anuj T)

Hrithik Tiwari- 7

Hrithik had a comfortable game in goal for FC Goa against Jamshedpur. Recorded an invaluable clean sheet while making a few saves to keep himself busy.

Boris Singh- 6.5

Boris was full of energy once again for Manolo Marquez’s side and worked tirelessly up and down the wings to initiate attacks and defend against any Jamshedpur threats.

Odei Onaindia- 7

Had a good game against Jamshedpur, and put in a real shift for his side while ensuring a clean sheet was earned by his side.

Sandesh Jhingan- 6.5

Had a good evening in partnership with Onaindia in the heart of defense, however, had some nervy moments at the back. Jhingan had a good evening overall in all departments.

Aakash Sangwan- 7.5

Had a relatively comfortable game, and played a key role in the opening goal for FC Goa. Sangwan bounced back from an error prone performance against Mohun Bagan and showcased his true qualities.

Carl Gerard McHugh- 6.5

Had a solid outing in the middle of the park, and looked threatening during set piece opportunities. McHugh is one of the unsung heroes from today’s game against Jamshedpur.

Borja Herrera- 8.5

A man of the match performance from the Spaniard. Herrera put in back-to-back match winning performances and was worth his weight of two goals against Jamshedpur. A fantastic evening where he could have scored a hattrick, Herrera capped of his evening with a spectacular long range shot past a helpless Albino Gomes.

Udanta Singh- 6

A solid outing for Udanta and was a tireless worker pulling the strings and stretching the Jamshedpur defenders. Played a key game in midfield for his side.

Dejan Drazic- 7.5

Drazic was responsible for his side’s third goal which virtually ended Jamshedpur FC spirits. He was a menace all night long for the Jamshedpur FC defense, who just couldn’t stop his offensive onslaught.

Iker Guarrotxena- 6.5

The Spaniard failed to get on the scoresheet in a tough game against Stephen Eze and Ashutosh Mehta in defense. However, Guarrotxena showed great endeavour and aggression and held up the ball really well for his side. He had few chances to really get on the scoresheet but played a selfless team game.

Substitutes:

Ayush Dev Chhetri- 6

Chhetri was not able to impact the game a lot and had few and far opportunities to impress.

Jay Gupta- 6.5

Came on as a substitute in the 66th minute, and was a solid presence in defense. Had a relatively good outing.

Jamshedpur FC Ratings (by Saikat Sengupta)

Albino Gomes – 6.0

Jamshedpur’s FC custodian Albino looked off colour today. Though he tried his level best to deny both the goals, it was not enough to prevent the Gaurs from getting a two-goal cushion.

Ashutosh Mehta – 5.0

Mehta could have done better to communicate well with Nikhil Barla to cover his position to avoid the first goal. He tried to make those overlapping runs from the flanks, but Borja completely outplayed him tonight.

Stephen Eze – 7.0

The Nigerian did everything to block that shot from Borja. However, the rebound ball unluckily fell back to the Spaniard’s feet, who converted that into a goal.

Lazar Cirkovic – 6.0

The Serbian had no significant impact in the match tonight. He failed to make the defence impenetrable and also failed to contribute with his headers during set pieces.

Md Uvais – 6.0

Apart from taking those throw-ins, Uvais looked nowhere in the game. The left flank was completely left open for the Gaurs to exploit.

Pronay Halder – 6.0

Pronay just played the first 45 minutes. He was tasked with the responsibility to anchor the midfield and control the tempo of the game, but failed badly to make any impact.

Rei Tachikawa – 6.5

The Japanese Samurai did try to loop those balls during set pieces. However, he could have done better in the game to stop Goa’s frequent attacks.

Javi Hernandez – 6.5

The Jamshedpur captain also appeared bleak tonight. The midfield was absent in the match, and the Spaniard was expected to motivate his lads to script a comeback.

Nikhil Barla – 6.0

Nikhil was subbed off early tonight and couldn’t make a lasting impact in this game.

Javier Siverio – 6.0

Siverio did find the back of the net once, but was left offside after a lazy cross from young Sanan. Apart from that, he failed to contribute much to the attack.

Jordan Murray – 5.5

When Jamshedpur were down one goal, the Australian was expected to knock on the door constantly and repeat the heroics he did against Goa back in September. But he failed to even come close to any real chance.

Substitutes –

Imran Khan – 6.0

Imran was brought in to make those attacks from the right wing. But Goa’s wingbacks were in no mood to leave any space for him.

Mohammed Sanan – 6.5

The young lad from Kerala did try to help his side net an equaliser. He even provided an assist to Siverio, but was ruled offside.
