List of teams qualified for 2027 AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers Round 3

The Blue Tigers are one of the candidates for a qualification spot.
The list of teams that will be participating at the 2027 AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers Round 3 have been revealed. Indian men’s national team is one of the 24 outfits that will be fighting for the chance to compete at the 2027 AFC Asian Cup that takes place in Saudi Arabia from 15 January to 8 February.
The Blue Tigers could not secure a direct berth in the group stage of the tournament after their disappointing performance in the joint FIFA World Cup/AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers Round 2. Led by Igor Stimac, India finished third in Group A, with only the top two teams moving into the final round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers and the group stages of the 2027 AFC Asian Cup.
Now, the Blue Tigers, led by Manolo Marquez, must navigate the third round of qualifiers to reach the group stages of the 2027 AFC Asian Cup. The 24 teams will be divided into six groups of four where the group winner will head to the group stage or the main part of the tournament in Saudi Arabia.
The task for the Indian football team is straightforward, they must secure the top spot in their respective group to qualify for the main stage of the 2027 AFC Asian Cup. Failure to do so could have major consequences and can put Marquez’s job in doubt after succeeding Igor Stimac at the helm only recently.
The draw for the final round is yet to take place. In the meantime, here is a look at the teams that have qualified for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers Round 3:
